The Lester Senior Housing Community, consists of 175 units, comprised of the Margaret & Martin Heller Independent Living Apartments and the Judy & Josh Weston Assisted Living Residence. Situated on the Aidekman Jewish Federation Campus off Route 10 East in Whippany, the community opened in May 2001. There are 84 market-rental 1 & 2 bedroom Independent Living units; 36 1-bedroom low & moderate Independent Living units; and 55 Assisted Living studio and 1-bedrooom units. When it opened, Lester was the first Jewish-sponsored, kosher Assisted Living community in the state of New Jersey.
