The more you take, the less you get at the end of the day. Leave it behind and share this moment with gratitude and kindness.
What a hot summer we have been having in the Toronto area these past 2 weeks! Getting outdoors and exploring new experiences is a bit more challenging with this humid heat but it is still worth the effort. Keeping active is a great way to open oneself up. Consistently developing these good habits for wellness makes a difference over time. And, it only happens in the moment one step at a time. So make those moments count Canada… And, after a good workout, consider including a little entertainment by enjoying a evening at a local show or concert.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to have seen Xavier Rudd perform twice this summer in Canada. What a blast of fresh air he is sharing with us. His new album titled “Stormboy” is really good.
I saw the first of two concerts in Waterloo, Ontario. The day started rainy and as luck would have it we had an all day softball tournament in Brampton. It was a great day with lots of good softball. And we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset and an awesome summer concert to finish the day off.
The beat and control of the moment by Xavier’s team was masterful. The nuances in the sounds and audience involvement made it a really fun event. There were so many awesome moments too that necessitated a few bows of thanks.
Hand in hand with the one I love, I was grinning and felt very blessed. The crowd was electric and the collective vibe of all the good people there was inspiring.
Will you follow the moon, the sun and the stars above with this dance in time?
I then got a ticket to a second show just before Canada Day with a spur of the moment drive to London, Ontario. A longtime and very great friend and I decided to pay our respects to the freedoms we all share in Canada with a road trip. I wanted my friend to enjoy the show at the London Music Hall and I loved it so much the first time that I wanted to experience it again. And, honestly, what better way is there to celebrate being alive and free than a run with a good friend?
We went on a very hot 10k run along the Thames river, showered at Good Life and dinner at Plant Matter Kitchen. Totally awesome setup and fuel for the evening!
Stormboy is one of the best concerts going this summer and the song itself is really fantastic! What a big dharma meal Xavier serves up in it. If you have the chance to go, I would jump on the chance. If not, get this amazing album, share it with others and join this dance. It’s time to plant this seed of gratitude in your life and see what grows…
Taking action and intention, intertwined with a leap of faith creates so many opportunities in the moment. If you start closed, the mountain is so much harder and taller to climb. But, by starting with belief and wonder, the mountain shares its grace and beauty. It creates a foundation of gratitude that is not just limited to great gains in health and wellness. It also lays a path from which happiness springs.
A day does not go by that I am not grateful for the freedoms we have in Canada. Running free on a trail enveloped by pines seems a perfect expression of this freedom. Often taken for granted, planting this seed of gratitude, and tending carefully to its growth sends ripples everywhere.
We are indeed blessed by the magic of the moon above and I am grateful to be living in this beautiful world…
What more can one say about this stone lion?
